Sacred Sacraments Ministry
I believe that mycelium is the neurological network of nature. Interlacing mosaics of mycelium infuse habitats with information-sharing membranes. These membranes are aware, react to change, and collectively have the long-term health of the host environment in mind.

Intersection of Psilocybin & Spirituality
Sacred Sacraments Ministry, situated in the vibrant city of San Francisco, has been at the forefront of promoting and advocating for the safe and responsible utilization of Entheogenic Plants in personal spiritual practice since 2021. An intentional community in a nondenominational, interfaith belief system, our ministry strives to promote a harmonious belief system where individuals can explore the sacred potential of these plants with reverence and respect within the confines of your chosen environment. Different from the concept of a physical church we are a ministry that shares our message to the streets.
Sacred Sacraments Ministry (SSM) is a spiritual organization founded on a single guiding principle: the autonomy of individual worship.
While members are welcome to participate in the broader, interconnected community of SSM, the core belief is that each person holds sovereignty over their own spiritual practice.
Our One Tenet
SSM holds to a singular tenet: Every individual has the right to commune directly with the Divine and receive personal guidance.
This belief acknowledges that: Worship does not require dogma.
There is no need for intermediaries, leaders, or hierarchical structures.
What We Do and Don’t Do
SSM itself does not organize or conduct ceremonies, nor does it provide sacraments. Instead, individuals are free to independently transform our central tenet into their own activities, gatherings, and ceremonies. None of these events are authorized or supervised by any central body, because SSM has no central authority. Our structure is entirely decentralized. How individuals live out the tenet—whether in personal practice or through community events—shapes the SSM experience. Participation is always voluntary. Some aspects of SSM might resonate with you, while others may not. It’s up to you to decide how to shape your practice.
The Divine
The nature of the Divine is for each individual to explore and define. You have the freedom to discover and interpret what the Divine means for you personally.
How SSM Functions
SSM encourages individuals to connect directly with the Divine, without the need for clergy or intermediaries. This freedom allows members to worship as they see fit, experiencing unmediated communion with the Divine. In traditional religions, this freedom is often reserved for the founder, with others expected to follow the founder’s vision. SSM, however, upholds the belief that all members can experience this level of autonomy in their spiritual journey.
Where Do We Meet?
SSM members are free to worship wherever they choose—whether alone or in groups. There is no need for formal authorization or coordination. Independent ceremonies are as diverse and creative as the imaginations of the participants. However, it is important to note that SSM does not endorse or organize any sacramental ceremonies, and if anyone claims to be authorized by SSM to lead such ceremonies, this should be treated as a warning sign.
Our Mission
The mission of Sacred Sacraments Ministry is to foster autonomous worship. We encourage each person to cultivate their own unique experience with the Divine. This means that individuals are not bound by the experiences, beliefs, or teachings of others. The broader SSM community is formed by individuals connecting as they see fit. The community is dynamic, constantly shaped by the choices of its members.
Is Psilocybin SSM’s Sacrament?
Psilocybin mushrooms are considered a sacrament by some members of SSM, but they are not required for worship. Members are free to use other sacraments if they choose. The essence of SSM lies in the individual’s autonomy to decide how they engage with the Divine.
Why Psychedelic Sacraments?
Psychedelic substances have a long history of use in various cultures for facilitating mystical experiences and divine encounters. Many people find that psychedelics help them connect with the Divine and receive guidance. This practice is an ancient form of worship, and it is one that we honor at SSM. However, the use of psychedelic sacraments is not a requirement—it is simply one avenue of spiritual practice.
How Do I Obtain Psilocybin Sacraments?
SSM does not provide any sacraments or sacrament ceremonies. Members independently plan and conduct their own ceremonies, including those involving psilocybin mushrooms.
Is SSM a Church?
Yes, SSM is a religious organization.
Are Psychedelic Sacraments Legal?
Laws protect sincerely held religious beliefs, which include the sacramental use of psychedelics. To ensure legal protection, it is essential for worshipers to practice safely and sincerely. For more information, please refer to our section on Legal Worship.
Why Is Safety So Important?
While the risk of addiction or abuse associated with classic psychedelics is extremely low, improper use can still lead to harm, including psychological trauma or physical danger. Worshipers in altered states of consciousness are especially vulnerable. For this reason, SSM insists that safety protocols be followed, including preparation and integration procedures. If harm occurs, it is vital that the proper authorities are contacted. Do not hide health concerns or sexual assault. Concealing such issues allows harm to continue. SSM is committed to complete transparency and insists on strict adherence to safety.
How Do I Join Sacred Sacraments Ministry?
Joining is simple. If you believe that individuals can commune directly with the Divine and are committed to adhering to safety protocols, just provide your name and email. As per the Constitution, the government cannot compel SSM to release its membership list. If you prefer anonymity, feel free to create a new email address and use an alternative name when registering.
Do I Need to Pay Money?
No. While donations are encouraged and greatly appreciated to support the growth of SSM, they are not required. Sacred Sacraments Ministry operates entirely on voluntary contributions and is open to all.
Do I Need a Membership Card?
No. However, having a membership card can serve as a symbol of your religious commitment and the role that psilocybin mushrooms play in your worship.
